It sounds like she is still quite mobile. We have had other elderly people come including people who needed some assistance with wheel chairs (they had an energetic friend or family member come along as well to help out). While a number of the sites have stairs we do everything we can to make the trip enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities. Yes, your 78 year old mother would be welcome to come.
