Capernaum “Up to Jerusalem”! Visit with Jerusalem Bishop and Entering the Tomb

by Steve Ray on October 19, 2017

We started the day by visiting the Ancient Boat from the time of Jesus and then we got on a REAL boat and went for an hour on the Sea of Galilee. I told my story about my night fishing with the Jewish fisherman.

From there we went to Capernaum where we had Mass where Jesus spoke the words “Eat My Flesh and Drink My Blood“. I gave my talk there entitled “Defending the Eucharist.“ (See Fr  Fergus’ excellent homily on the Eucharist here.)

After eating Saint Peters Fish we headed to Jerusalem. The Bible never says “down” to Jerusalem but 28 times it says “up to Jerusalem.”

I told my conversion story along the way and we arrived in time to put on our regalia as Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre to meet the Bishop of Jerusalem and to have our Solemn Entry into the Tomb. Enjoy!

The wonderful experience continues! Cannot imagine what one must feel when entering the holy Sepulcher. And the view of Jerusalem has to be awe inspiring! Another shout out to Nicola & Randy Mullins! May God stay with you and the entire group!
