Mount of Olives, Western Wall & Ein Kerem

by Steve Ray on November 12, 2008

Today we knew the pilgrims would be suffering jet lag from their late arrival last evening but they were troopers — excited, enthusiastic and full of energy. We covered the Mount of Olives, Pater Noster, Dominus Flavit, Mass at Gethsemane, the Western Wall, lunch at a Jewish Kibbutz, the overview Promenade and we ended up at Ein Kerem where the Visitation took place. A great day that went very smoothly.

I forgot to take pictures/videos at the Western Wall but we did visit there today as well, right before lunch!

I clicked on the link and only got generic YouTube. I tried it three times with the same success (= failure). Any suggestions?

    Hi Papa/Ron Maxson,
It is so good to see you in the video and to walk with you to the sites you visited. Your grandson, James, is here right now and we watched you together. James says, “I’m there with you in Spirit…although I wish I were there in person”. My sentiments exactly! We are so happy for you and your well deserved trip to the Holy Land.
    Love,
    Your Daughter,
    Lucy

Saw John and Cris Brincefield from Sacred Heart, Salisbury NC in the day 1 video! Enjoying a return to Jerusalem vicariously, a year after our CSS Pilgrimage with Steve and Janet and the Brewers. The pictures from Gesthemane brought tears to my eyes!

  • Thanks for letting us get a glimpse of your awesome travels. We trust the Godparents of our son, Peter, are praying in a special way for him today on his 18th birthday! That’s Tony Ryan and Mary Gundling. Love and prayers, Jennie and Jack Kersting.

    Leigh and Morgan

We love you all and it is so wonderful that you are able to see some of what we see. It is beyond description to walk in the steps of Our Lord. The Mass at Jesus’ tomb was beyond description – only by our tears can we begin. Please pray for us.

    Love,

    Mom, Dad and Anya
