Holy Sepulchre, Ancient Walls, City of David Archaeology Site, Pool of Siloam, St. Stephens…

We started the day with a walking tour from the Notre Dame Center to the Holy Sepulchre. After a tour and visit there with time to pray, we walked to the Russian Church which has the ancient walls of Jerusalem proving that the Holy Sepulchre site was outside the city walls at the time of the crucifixion. From there we saw Hezekiah‘s walls and then passed into the Jewish Quarter and past the Western Wall to the City of King David National Park.

We visited the Springs of Gihon, and walked thru Warren’s Tunnel to the Pool of Siloam (John 9). Lunch at Ramat Rachel Kibbutz, an hour to regroup and Mass at St. Stephen’s where the 1st martyr was killed (homily was too long for YouTube). Free time, dinner and early to bed.
