Walking with Christ to the Cross and Resurrection
by Steve Ray on November 3, 2011
Part 1: It is always amazing to start the Via Dolorosa, the Way of Sorrows at 5:00 AM and end up touching the top of Calvary and then having Mass in the Holy Tomb of Christ. Wow!
Part 2: Visiting the place of Mary’s birth and the place where Jesus healed the crippled man in John 5. Great Day!
The videos posted today were especially beautiful and moving! For the first time, I almost felt as if I was there walking the Via Dolorosa, and the sacredness of the Via and the Holy Sepulchre could really be felt (even through the video) — it was that palpable for me. Seeing various glimpses of my friend as she has experienced these sacred places first-hand has been very beautiful and moving for me — I’m living vicariously through her right now! Thanks so much, Steve, and God Bless you! Your creativity is a true art as your videos are not only beautiful and very educational, but they give a lot of people great joy to see their loved ones during their pilgrimage! After tomorrow, I will miss my daily “fix” of your video blog each day! God bless you all, and may the experiences of this pilgrimage not become a distant memory for the pilgrims, but a beautiful catalyst for an ever- growing faith and much deeper relationship with the Lord and Our Lady!
Steve,
Watching the videos bring back powerful memories and emotions. I pray I can return some day, in the meantime I continue praying for you, Janet, Amer, Essam, and all the pilgrims.
God bless you and keep you,
