April Trip Postponed due to the Ongoing War

We received the following from our agent and guide in Israel:

Unfortunately, the situation here is not stabilizing. While some headlines may suggest limited timelines, the broader regional indicators point in a different direction. The United States’ request for its citizens to depart from approximately fourteen countries in the Middle East is not incidental — it reflects concern about what may be developing rather than what has already occurred.

Additionally, the opening of the northern front with Hezbollah and the Israeli government’s response, including expanded ground operations into Lebanon, strongly suggests that this is unlikely to be a short, one-month conflict. Realistically, we may be looking at a situation that extends for several months.

After careful consideration and in consultation internally, Bestour has made the difficult but responsible decision to cancel all groups scheduled from April 1 through the end of August 2026. Under the present circumstances, we do not believe it would be prudent — nor responsible — to bring pilgrims into Israel while the region remains in this state of escalation and uncertainty.

Accordingly, we formally recommend canceling the April 2026 group and redirecting participants to one of the dates we have scheduled for the Fall of 2026. This allows us to prioritize safety while preserving the opportunity to participate in the pilgrimage at a more stable time.

We understand this is disappointing, especially given your group’s strong interest and commitment. However, safety and long-term stewardship must guide our decision. Please let me know a suitable time to discuss next steps and communication to the pilgrims.

With appreciation and respect, Bestour Travel
