Bethlehem All Day
by Steve Ray on December 15, 2011
I am posting these two videos of our last pilgrimage so you can see Bethlehem today. We crossed into the Palestinian West Bank through the concrete wall and entered Bethlehem, the birthplace of Our Lord. We even heard the Our Father prayer in the language of Jesus. It was a great day leading Franciscan University of Steubenville through the ancient City of David.
Morning of Shopping, Olive Wood Factory, Muslim Prayer, Church of Nativity and more.
Afternoon at Shepherds Field, exploring Bethlehem, eating the Passover Lamb, celebrating a wedding and heading back to Jerusalem.
I heard Steve visiting with Teresa Tomeo a week or so ago and he mentioned there was a virtual tour of him in Sheperd’s Field. I saw a bit of Sheperd’s Field on part of a YouTube video from a recent pilgrimage, but I haven’t located what I thought I was looking for. From the discussion with Teresa, I thought I was looking for a video “out in the field” looking at the openness of it.
STEVE RAY HERE: MARY, I MAY HAVE MISSPOKE. THE VIDEOS WE HAVE OF OUR PILGRIMAGES TO HAVE SOME OF THE AREAS OF SHEPHERDS FIELD INCLUDED, BUT LIKE YOU SAID, NOT A LOT. I THINK I MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING OF MY DVD “DAVID & SOLOMON: EXPANDING THE KINGDOM” WHERE I DO GO INTO THE WILDERNESS AROUND BETHLEHEM. SORRY. YOU CAN GET THAT DVD ON MY WEBSITE STORE. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION.
