Day 6: Museum, Jericho, Jordan River, Qumran, Dead Sea and Camels

by Steve Ray on May 14, 2019

This is more of a fun day.  We had Mass to start the day at the Notre Dame chapel (homily here).  We visit the Israel museum to see the city of Jerusalem on a small scale from the time of Christ. We also see the Dead Sea Scrolls before descending down into the Judean wilderness to the lowest place on the face of the earth.

We have lunch in Jericho and see the sights there before heading to the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. We renew our baptismal vows and pray that Mystery of the Rosary.

From there to Qumran and then floating in the Dead Sea and riding camels, which is always a lot of fun. We then had dinner on the rooftop of Jerusalem!
