Jerusalem is Safe! Our 1st Day in Israel! – Video to Show Real Life on the Ground (not on CNN)
by Steve Ray on August 31, 2014
Hello Everyone. Janet and I have settled in, made sure everything is safe and in good order. We have the 60-seater bus ready to go with our new colorful 6′ x 2′ foot magnetic signs to slap on both sides of the bus.
We have Rosaries for everyone to touch on the holy sites, our guide Amer is in good form and ready to go and the land awaits us. Fifty-five pilgrims will board El Al (the safest airline in the world) and land in Tel Aviv at 12:25 Monday morning. We will be there to pick them up.
We are in for a great spiritual adventure. One nice thing: many groups panicked and canceled which leaves far fewer other groups to compete with. No lines, no waiting, no pushing or jockeying to get access to holy sites. There are other groups here but not nearly as many as usual.
I will start posting daily videos for you to join us virtually starting Monday. God bless you all from the land of the Patriarch and Prophets, from the kings and queen mothers, from Our Lord and Lady, from the Apostles and Fathers of the Church. We can feel it already 🙂
I have been thinking a lot about my pilgrimage last year. I will relive by watching your videos. I look forward to seeing you and Janet in October for the Footprints of St Paul.
Steve, during your travels in the Holy Land have you seen the Iron Dome defense system in action? The youtube videos are quite intense, I can’t imagine what it’s like to hear that siren…
STEVE RAY JERE: Nathan, all is quiet here. Not heard sirens or seen the Iron Dome in operation.
