Safety Update for Israel

by Steve Ray on January 29, 2007

On 1/29/07 a suicide bomber blew himself up in Eilat. This was the first such bomb in over 9 months. Eilat is at the very southern tip of Israel at least 4 hours drive from Jerusalem. It is no where near where we travel as pilgrims.

The news also has much about Hamas and Fatah and their fighting. Regarding safety, this is of no concern for our pilgrims. This infighting is all contained in Gaza which is a small area far to the south–no where near where we will visit.

Israel has been wonderfully quiet for over 6 months. There are about 100,000 tourists in Israel and all are safe and having a great time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at sray@me.com.
