Walking in Ephesus Where St. Paul Lived Over 2 Years

Ephesus is magnificent. I gave four talks as we moved our way thru this die. The outdoor lunch and the rug-making demonstration was frosting in the cake.

What a great joy it has been for me each day to follow along in spirit and prayer, and to be able to participate virtually with Father Mark Mary and my friends from Ignatius Press and all of the participants in this very special pilgrimage! Once again, thank you so much, Steve and Janet, for making this possible for those of us back at home. This prayer to St. Paul the Great Apostle, is my prayer for each one of you on this pilgrimage:

“Glorious St Paul, Most Zealous Apostle, Martyr for the Love of Christ, give us a deep faith, a steadfast hope, a burning love for our Lord so that we can proclaim with you ‘It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.’ Help us to become apostles serving the Church with a pure heart, witnesses to her truth and beauty amidst the darkness of our days. With you we praise God our Father ‘To Him be the glory, in the Church and in Christ Now and for ever’. Amen.”

Thank you for praying for those of us back at home as you experience each of these holy sites! May St. Paul bless each one of you in a very special way!
